Due to heavy rain this morning from remnants of Tropical Storm Alberto, the fields at Darden Towe Park have been closed for this evening, June 14th. Therefore, Wednesday’s edition of the Seminole Lacrosse Clinic is cancelled. Thursday’s clinic will be held as usual, beginning at 6:30pm.

Thursday’s clinic will feature a visit from perennial Seminole favorite Doug Bartlett, who has been the head lacrosse coach at VMI for 21 years.

Bartlett, who currently ranks 13th amongst active Division I lacrosse coaches with 127 career wins, has had a host of major accomplishments since taking over the program in 1986. In 1992, Bartlettā??s Keydets went 9-5 and were ranked in the Top 25 national lacrosse poll, becoming only the fourth team in VMI history to achieve that feat. A few years later, the 1995 VMI team also went 9-5 and once again received votes in the national poll.
