The World Lacrosse Championships kicked off on July 14th at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London, Ontario. With representatives of 21 nations competing, as you might expect, flags were everywhere.
The evening’s Opening Ceremonies featured the “Parade of Athletes”, the traditional blessing by members of the Iroquois Nation, and entertainment by an “All Star Band” from Ontario, fronted by Aaron Walpole, the third-place finisher from the last season of Canadian Idol.
