ACAC Lacrosse Academy is teaming up with former University of Virginia All-American and current MLL Long Island Lizard, Ben Rubeor, to offer two new sessions of lacrosse academies. Each Academy will focus on the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.

These unique lacrosse learning experiences, the acacHoos Offense Academy and the the acacHoos Defense Academy, are presented for experienced middle and high school lacrosse players. In these hands-on Academies, held at ACAC‚??s indoor arena, participants will be interact and learn from college and professional lacrosse players.

In the acacHoos Offense Academy, attackmen and midfielders will get the inside scoop on stickwork, shooting, dodging, feeding and unsettled situations. The first session runs on Wednesday evenings, October 15 ‚?? November 5, with a second session (also on Wednesdays) November 12 & 19 and December 3 & 10. Middle school players take the court from 7:00 ‚?? 8:15pm; high school players from 8:15 ‚?? 9:30pm.

In the acacHoos Offense Academy, defensive skills and philosophies will be covered by Ben‚??s hand-picked staff. Midfielders and defensemen will benefit. Topics will include short- and long-pole defensive techniques, man to man defense strategies, stickwork, and checks. The first session runs on Thursday evenings, October 16 ‚?? November 6, with a second session (also on Thursdays) November 13 & 20 and December 4 & 11. Middle school players take the court from 7:00 ‚?? 8:15pm; high school players from 8:15 ‚?? 9:30pm.

The the acacHoos Lacrosse Academies will be held at the Indoor Arena in ACAC Adventure Central, located at 200 Four Seasons Drive. The cost for ACAC members with a full facility family membership is $120.00, for ACAC members, $130.00, and for non-members, $140.00.
