On October 4-5, 2008, there will be an educational symposium at Sweet Briar College, near Lynchburg, VA. The event will bring together men’s and women’s coaches and officials for a day of interactive learning and communication.

The symposium is designed to:

  • Increase collaboration between coaches and officials
  • Develop consistency in understanding of rules
  • Foster relationships between coaches, both at the high school level and collegiate level, as well as between the two levels

Saturday, Oct. 4 will include classroom instruction and discussion, and Sunday, Oct. 5 will consist of a play day and training session for new and returning women’s officials.

The cost of the symposium is $35 for members of USLacrosse; $45 for non-members. Interested individuals should contact Chip Rogers at chipr@virginia.edu.
