The Charlottesville-Albemarle Youth Lacrosse Club, which brings together central Virginia lacrosse players under a single organization, is committed to providing local players with a fun and educational atmosphere. Registration for the 2007 CAYLC travel teams has begun, and is open to all skill levels with the hope of creating multiple teams for each age group. Skills assessment for placement will be held on both February 18th and February 25th on the Turf Field at St. Anneā??s Belfield. (Players must attend both days if at all possible.)

Skills assessments will be made at the following times:

  • U-13 at 12:00pm (Must have been 12 years of age on 12/31/06, 5th & 6th Grades)
  • U-15 at 1:30pm (Must have been 14 years of age on 12/31/06, 7th & 8th Grades)
  • U-16/JV 3:00pm (Current 9th & 10th graders only)

In addition to the U-13, U-15, and U-16 teams, CALYC will also sponsor a U-11 team and a High School team. Tryouts for these teams will be held next month.

All boys participating in the CALYC must be a member of US Lacrosse to play in the middle school league. (The US Lacrosse youth membership fee is $20.00 and covers 12 months.)
