Day 2 Preview

After the Opening Ceremonies and Team USA’s defeat of Canada, the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships kick into gear with divisional round robin play. Games of local interest include:
Assistant coach Max Silberlicht and Team Latvia takes on Switzerland at 8:30. A live stream will be available.
Slovakia, with Nathaniel Gaspar in the cage, looks to take a win from Korea at 11:30.
Virginia redshirt freshman Dickson Smith will step on the field for Sweden against Israel, also at 11:30. A live stream will be available.
Poland and Chris Perzinski look for a win over first-time nation Costa Rica at 12:30. A live stream will be available.
Also at 12:30, New Zealand contends with Argentina. A live stream will be available.
Uganda plays Ireland at 2:30. A live stream will be available.
In the marquis matchup of the day, Offensive Coordinator Mark Van Arsdale and the Iroquois Nationals match up against England. The game will be on ESPN-3 at 8:00 pm MDT, 10:00 pm Eastern time. A live stream will also will be available at worldlacrosse2014.com free of charge.
Also of note: In a rematch of the 2010 Bronze Medal game, Australia and Japan will rumble in the Main Stadium at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The game will be on ESPN-3 at 5:00 pm MDT, 7:00 pm Eastern time, and also streamed live.
