The League is open to all Women of high hchool age and older. All participants must be members of US Lacrosse. The league will furnish game jerseys; players are responsible for all other equipment.

Division I semifinal games will be played on the St. Anne’s Belfield Turf Field on Friday, May 16th. The first semifinal will begin at 5:30pm, with the second game slated to begin at 7:30pm. Division II and Division III semifinal games will be played at the higher-seeded team’s home site. (Seeding are TBD and will be announced on cville-lax.com.)

Championship games for all divisions will be played on the St. Anne’s Belfield Turf Field, as well. The Division III Championship game faceoff is scheduled for 12 Noon, followed by the Division II Championship match at 2:30pm. The Championship Weekend will conclude at 5:00pm with the Division I final.

In addition to five highly-competitive games, the STAB soccer field will be transformed into the Championship Weekend Fan Fest, with food and pre-game activities hosted by sponsor Sportspage. Fans are encouraged to bring their sticks to the Fan Fest, where fans will get a chance to showcase their skills in shooting accuracy, speed of shot, and other activities during half time of the games. Concession stands provided by SportsPage and St. Anne’s-Belfield School Boosters.

The Girls Lacrosse Academy will run in two sessions, June 9-12, and July 14-17, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. This Academy is for girls aged 9-14.

The Boys Lacrosse Academy will run July 7-10, with a second session July 21-24. This Academy is for boys aged 9-14. There will be an option for a 3 day - 4 night overnight camp; campers will participate in the day camp, then spend the evening swimming at the Adventure Central Waterpark, playing indoor lacrosse in the Arena, and then spend the night in “The Big Room”. Camp tuition for overnight campers includes all meals.

There will also be Half-Day Boys Lacrosse Academy, for boys aged 8-12. This Academy will be held August 4-7 and August 11-14, from 8:45am - 1:00pm.

The ACAC Boys Lacrosse Academy is directed by Al Sadtler, founder and director of the Seminole Lacrosse League, and 2001 Inductee into the Virginia Lacrosse Hall of Fame. The coaches of the academy are Hunter Price, Jim Loffredo and Richard Little. The coaches will provide a high level of instruction and skill development for all positions, video analysis and plenty of indoor and outdoor game time.

The ACAC Girls Lacrosse Academy is directed by Al Sadtler and coached by both Jennifer Harris,of the Blue Ridge Lacrosse Club, and Nancy Haws, Head WAHS Varsity Coach. This Academy provides a high level of instruction and skill development for all positions, video analysis and plenty of indoor and outdoor game time.

We have not heard from the coach in Shenandoah about the games that are to be
played there. As soon as we hear something we will be in touch with the
appropriate coaches so they can inform their teams.

For girls ages 7-16, the Clinic will be held June 17, 19 - 20 at Darden Towe Park from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) The Girl’s League starts play on Tuesday, June 24.

The “Player’s League” for boys ages 14 - 17 will start with a single practice on June 19. Games will be played Thursday evenings and Saturdays through July 19.

The Seminole Lacrosse League is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the great game of lacrosse in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. Seminole’s goal is to give the youngsters of our area the opportunity to play and experience lacrosse, thus helping the game grow at the high school level.

The Seminole League sports an extremely high coach to player ratio, insuring that all participants receive individual attention. Many of Seminole’s coaches are still active players themselves, and have played in Collegiate, Club, and International competition.

Sunday will see three Midgets division games at AHS, with a fourth played in Shenandoah County. At noon, the Sutherland White team takes on Burley, followed by Rockingham and Jouett at 2:30pm. In the final Charlottesville game of the day, the Charlottesville Catholic School opens their season against Sutherland Black.
