Seminole LogoThe Seminole Lacrosse League will kick off its 26th season tonight with a four-night clinic for boys aged 5 – 13. The clinic will be held at Darden Towe Park Monday through Thursday evenings, from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

If you would like your child to participate, but have not yet registered, visit and show up to the field tonight.

The purpose of the Seminole League Clinic is to educate and prepare players for participation in the Seminole League. It is for all players with skill levels ranging from beginner to expert. Points of emphasis include fundamentals, stick skills, rules, and fun. It is very important for beginners to attend the clinic before participating in the League.

Players should come to the first night of the Clinic with a stick and gloves. Players who have not signed up for the Clinic are welcome to attend; please bring a competed application form and a check.

The Seminole League sports an extremely high coach to player ratio, insuring that all participants receive individual attention. Many of Seminole‚??s coaches are still active players themselves, and have played in collegiate, club, and international competition.

The Seminole League takes safety very seriously. As in most days in June, there is a chance of thunderstorms through the evening, so PLEASE do NOT drop your child off at Darden Towe Park and then leave! In case of unexpected severe weather, Seminole will temporarily suspend the clinic, ask participants to seek shelter in their vehicles, and hopefully restart the clinic as soon as conditions warrant.

Weather conditions can change very quickly, so be sure to check for any updates before leaving for Darden Towe Park. Updates will be made to this post, as well as on the @lax_weather Twitter Feed.
