Third ACAC Indoor Winter laxGames Set for This Weekend
The 2011 edition of the Indoor Winter laXgames, Central Virginia??s premier indoor lacrosse tournament, will be held Saturday, January 31st and Sunday, February 1st, at ACAC??s Adventure Central in Four Seasons. The tournament will feature boys and girls teams from around the area, including Albemarle, Western Albemarle, Covenant, Christchurch, St. Anne??s – Belfield, Charlottesville, and ACAC.
The Indoor Winter laXgames are sponsored by ACAC Sports, cville-lax.com (Championship Cup and Plate), Scrimmage Play (All Tournament Team), and ACAC Physical Therapy (ACAC trainers).
The boys tournament will kick off at 11:00am on Saturday, and feature 12 round-robin games in two divisions. The top two finishing teams in each division will return to play in semifinal games at 6:00pm, with the Championship game at 7:30. The winners will be presented with the ??cville-lax Cup? for display at their home school over the next year.
The girls tournament will be held Sunday, with a start time to be determined. The winners of the girls tournament will be presented with the silver ??cville-lax Plate?.
