The Seminole Lacrosse League gears up for a new season by announcing its 2006 schedule. The Seminole League is an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the great game of lacrosse in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area. Their goal is to give the youngsters of our area the opportunity to play and experience lacrosse, thus helping the game grow at the high school level. Former University of Virginia standout began his lacrosse career in the Seminole League.

The League will kick off with a clinic for boys aged 4 to 13, Monday, June 12. The clinic will run through Thursday, June 15, and is held nightly from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Practice for the boy’s league begins on June 19; practices are held every Monday through the end of the season. Games are played every Saturday morning from June 24 until July 22.

A clinic for girls runs from Tuesday, June 20 until June 22, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm each night. Girls begin practice on Tuesday. June 27 and continue on Tuesday evenings through the end of the season. Games are played every Saturday morning from July 1 until July 22.

All participants in the Seminole League MUST be members of USLacrosse. Nonmembers can apply online here, or can download a registration form here.

Participants who register before May 1st receive a $10 discount. There is also a package discount for paricipants who register for both the Clinic and the League together.

The Seminole League will also host a “Players League” for boys aged 14 to 17. A single practice will be held Thursday, June 22 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. After that, games will be held every Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon through July 22. Players who register before May 31st receive a $10 discount.
