Seminole League Weather Update: June 16, 2008
Weather Alert: Updated 5:30pm
The Seminole Lacrosse League has been carefully monitoring this afternoon’s weather situation. The severe thunderstorm that affected Charlottesville and Albemarle County this afternoon has passed out of the Charlottesville area; there does not appear to be additional severe weather behind this particular storm. Therefore, based upon a review of real-time weather data, tonight’s opening Seminole League practices will be held as scheduled.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS!
The Seminole League takes safety very seriously. Due to the continuing chance of thunderstorms, PLEASE do NOT drop your child off at Darden Towe Park and then leave! In case of unexpected severe weather, Seminole will temporarily suspend the clinic, ask participants to seek shelter in their vehicles, and hopefully restart the clinic as soon as conditions warrant.
