WAHS Girls Lose in Quarters
The defending state champion Western Albemarle Girls squad lost a tough matchup with Oakton 16-13 in the state quarterfinals. Despite a strong comeback, the Warriors could not climb out of a 14-6 hole early in the second half. The Jefferson District champion and Region champion Warriors end the season with a 17-3 record.
