Weather Alert: Updated 5:45pm
The Seminole Lacrosse League and the Charlottesville Summer Lacrosse League have been carefully monitoring this afternoon’s weather situation, including a line of thunderstorms west of Charlottesville moving east. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Charlottesville area which is set to run into the early evening.
A line of thunderstorms currently moving into Albemarle County, which the National Weather Service is reporting as having “frequent lightning” and “torrential rain”, is expected to impact the Charlottesville area at and during game time. Therefore tonight’s Charlottesville Summer Lacrosse League’s Red v. Navy and Green v. Maroon games is canceled for this evening. The Seminole League has made a determination that they will attempt to play tonight, however, they will call off tonight’s session at the first sign of lightning.. Makeup dates and times for tonights CSLL games will be announced at a later date.
