The lights will be on at Klockner Stadium as the No. 9 ranked Cavalier women take the field tonight in their second home game of the season. Temperature at game time is expected to be in the mid-40s.
Virginia takes on the 2-1 Richmond Spiders, led by A-10 Player of the Week Mandy Friend. Friend leads the Spiders’ attack, totaling 13 goals and two assists so far this season. The No. 13 UR team has notched wins against Longwood (14-3) and Virginia Tech (18-10), but suffered a 10-7 loss on the road this past Friday against No. 2 Duke.

The Virginia women’s lacrosse team will host in-state rival Richmond on February 28 at 7 p.m. in Klockner Stadium. The contest is the second consecutive game for Virginia against an in-state foe, while the Spiders are facing their second consecutive ACC opponent and third of the 2007 season.
