The BMSLL spring season starts next month. As a warm up for players, ACAC Sports is offering two middle school “preseason” indoor leagues in January and February 2010.
The 5th & 6th Grade Indoor League will run Tuesdays for 6 weeks, from January 12 to February 16. Games will be played from 6:30 – 8:15pm. The level of play is intermediate to advanced with an emphasis on stick work, team work and conditioning. This is an excellent way for players to get ready for the spring season. There will be a maximum of 25 players in this group. Each evening the players will be placed on 5 man teams.
The 7th & 8th Grade Indoor League will run Thursday evenings from January 14 to February 18. ACAC has reserved 3 hours of time for this group. The current session has 35 players making up 4 teams with two game times. The January/February session will have room for 6 teams and 3 slots for game: 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30. There is a maximum of 10 players per team (league limit 60 players). Parents, please let ACAC know your car pool requests in advance. If only 4 teams fill up, the game times will be 6:30 and 7:30.
The cost of the Leagues is $105 for ACAC Full Facility members, $115 for ACAC members, and $125 for non-members. To register, or for more information, contact Dawn at 434.978.7529.
The ACAC Arena, on Four Seasons Drive, is home to the only indoor arena in Central Virginia capable of fully enclosed indoor play, which enhances stick skills, reflexes, and provides an environment conducive to learning and conditioning during the off season.
