Hampden-Sydney Varsity Lacrosse will host the Charlottesville Herd Lacrosse Club in a home exhibition game this coming Sunday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM at the Hellmuth-Pritzlaff Turf Field in Farmville.
The Charlottesville Herd is a senior team made-up of former D-I and D-III players. Alumni from the University of Virginia, Brown University and Hampden-Sydney College are among the schools represented.
The Hampden-Sydney Tigers finished the 2010 regular season ranked 19th nationally with a 13-5 record, and they are looking to build upon that foundation this year. 2011 Team Captains include seniors Ryan Grodzki, Peter Foley, Cole Hawthorne, and Jake McDonald.
Immediately following the game, there will be an opportunity for interested youth (boys and girls) to meet the Tigers and participate in a short clinic.
Weather permitting, you may park your car above the field, entering from the small parking lot above the Turf Stadium (Please do not drive onto the field via the College Road or park along the road.)
