The ACAC Lacrosse Academy will be sponsoring two travel teams for the summer of 2008; each will participate in three tournaments, all within a three-hour drive from Charlottesville. The cost per player is $350. Players must commit to our 3 tournament schedule. The ACAC teams will not begin practices until mid May so as to not interfere with Y and BMSL practice and game schedules.

That fee includes the 3 tournaments, and team swag (and a great time).

The teams — U13 and U15 — will participate in three tournaments:

• Summer Exposure, Annapolis MD, June 14 – 15
• Summer Getaway, Alexandria VA, June 21 – 22
• Summer Sizzle, Baltimore MD, July 19 – 20

Tryouts for the travel teams began last weekend. They will continue this Sunday, March 2nd. Tryouts for the U13 team will run from 11:00am to 2:00pm; for the U15 team, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. Players will be evaluated by our entire acac lacrosse coaching staff throughout the two sessions. The sessions will include stick and situational drills as well as indoor game time. Points of emphasis will be teamwork, stickwork, attitude and athleticism.
